See that sticker..?
Tymm used a 7x14 SJC steel shell snare with maple reinforcement hoops on 11 of the songs. The song “Teeth” was recorded using a 7x14 Maryland Custom Drum Maple Snare.
What a song

Fireworks // Gospel
Doing what I do for a living, I’m privileged to get to know a multitude of great people, most of which happen to be in bands, or work for bands. When a friend of mine does their job exceptionally well, whether they’re a production manager, musician, tour manager, backline tech, or audio engineer, I do my best to recognize that fact. This is simply one of those moments.
A few years ago, I was lucky enough to tour with Fireworks, from the suburbs of Detroit. We’ve been friends since, and recently, they’ve released a new record, which I finally got my hands on. (digital and vinyl) Obviously, if the album was disappointing, or even mediocre, I likely wouldn’t be blogging about it. That, however, is not the case. I loved these songs after the first listen. I’m not going to give a detailed review for a number of reasons, because that’s not my job, and it’s not what I’m good at. I only want to congratulate my friends on a job well done, and encourage those of you who haven’t heard this record to do so as soon as possible.
Good job, boys.
Way too riffy for chords and we did it at like 3 am in our practice space in one sloppy take. I don’t know if WE even remember, sorry!
Mainly D# Standard
We did a few shows at the house in Dearborn, this being one of my favorites. I made the flyer too and forgot how weird it was.
P.S. This was 3-4 years ago, don’t show up please!
